This is a really classy moment, and a great decision by oscar. Susan is so lovely and poised and dignified, and so beautiful in that dress. The (gorgeos? haunting? thought-provoking?) Dead Man Walking theme played over her win gives it that much more weight and intensity. Well worth a watch, if you've never seen it (the oscar clip AND the film).
