About Me
- Name: adam k.
- Location: Miami, FL, United States
I am a currently an MFA student in University of Miami's film school, recently graduated from Brown. I'm an aspiring singer, actor, writer, and/or filmmaker... basically, I'll take what I can get. My first true love is performing, but the film critic in me just won't shut up, and I love writing and directing things, too. I think I wear too many hats (literally and figuratively). This blog is an outlet for my many wild passions, and a way to kill all my spare time. Also, I like to keep my sidebar REALLY full, so if you wanna see archives, just keep on scrolling down ; )

I'm pretty sure that entire scene is my favourite ever.
*dreams*
I actually don't know what scene this is. I just found the pic online somewhere.
Could you let me know what film this is from, so I can rent it? I'm not totally sure (I haven't seen Hugh's romantic comedies except for Kate & Leopold). But yes, Hugh is godlike and delicious in the pic. Aaaahhh...
That would be Someone Like You with Ashley Judd. The film's mostly a dud (and that rhymes heehee) but that scene is delicious. It's based on the (much better) book "Animal Husbandry"
I'm really glad that his next few films do not involve the X-Men movies or other horrible-sounding action films (yes, there's Wolverine, but hopefully the focus will be all on him.) After proving his acting chops in The Fountain this year, I am excited to see what he follows up with.
As am I.
The focus should ALWAYS be all on Hugh. I'm really looking forward to Wolverine for that reason. Any film where I get to watch Hugh in every frame is fine with me.
Last night, Kate & Leopold was on t.v. and I watched the entire thing beginning to end. I totally forgot what a refreshing romantic comedy it is, and how good both Ryan and Jackman are in it. I think I might pick up the DVD one of these days.
I remember thinking the film itself was just okay, but worth seeing for Jackman alone. I thought Meg Ryan was sort of grating in it. As I recall, there was some hubbub over his stealing her thunder when he was nominated for a globe for the role, but she and the film were not.
Sad that that remains Jackman's only major award nomination of any kind for his film work. Sigh.
