Ewan McGregor. I didn't see, was there someone else up against him? ;)
Doesn't Latin refer to Spanish/French/Italian?
Not that I don't think Enrique Iglesias is yummy, I just literally didn't look at who McGregor was up against before voting for him. :)
There was actually a whole thread on Enrique's IMDB page about this.
"Latin" is, to most people, short for "Latin American," meaning NOT Euro-Spanish, i.e. from Spain.
But technically, Latin could of course mean "from any country with a language derived from latin" i.e. any romance language, so that opens doors to Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, etc. But that's just not the common usage nowadays. Latin means "from Latin America."
And yes, Enrique Iglesias IS yummy.
That said, I fully expect him to lose. *sigh* Ewan...
Ewan.
Ewan is magically delicious-he has my vote.
Ewan!
Yepp, I'm going with Ewan too.
And yes, of course the only spanish guy HAD to be up against Ewan. Oy.
I'm waaay in the minority, because I don't get Ewan at all.
Enrique.
Adam, first, please note that there may be a difference between Latino and Latin. In the film world, the term "Latin" was used to describe Rudolph Valentino (who was Italian). Valentino is quite rightly considered the first Latin lover, and, as far as I know, he's not from Latin America. He is from Italy. I don't think Italians considered themselves Latin anymore, but it was once used to describe HOT Italian and Iberian actors. So, Enrique can be considered Latin.
Enrique should not be considered Latino. The term "Latino" (with the "o") refers to someone from Latin America who resides in the US. The term Hispanic and Latino are often used interchangeably. However, even Latinos can be considered Latin as well.
So, my vote goes to the Latin lover--Enrique.
Hi, Marius!
I've been missing your votes. You should weigh in on some of the older contests (there are several that you could sway one way or the other).
And thanks for the clarification of the Latin issue. I'm actually learning Spanish right now, so I'm really into all this stuff.
Enrique Inglesias is cute and sexy but my vote goes to Ewan McGregor, because he has:
-Great body (Especially now)
-Sexy voice and irresistible scotish accent
-Magically delicious
-he's manly but he's at the same time charming
-Nude scenes
