The Streepathon starts... tomorrow.

Check in to get your fix of film reviews, awards news, viewing marathons, hot men, and what's going on with me. While I'm not pursuing other more worthy goals, I'll be here... devouring life, art, and pop culture, one crumb at a time.

I am a currently an MFA student in University of Miami's film school, recently graduated from Brown. I'm an aspiring singer, actor, writer, and/or filmmaker... basically, I'll take what I can get. My first true love is performing, but the film critic in me just won't shut up, and I love writing and directing things, too. I think I wear too many hats (literally and figuratively). This blog is an outlet for my many wild passions, and a way to kill all my spare time. Also, I like to keep my sidebar REALLY full, so if you wanna see archives, just keep on scrolling down ; )

I probably should have a streepathon someday...being she's the most nominated actress...
I could probably catch some good flicks along the way...
I've seen of hers:
Lemony Snickets
Manchurian Candidate
The Hours
Adaptation
AI
The Riverwild
Death Becomes Her
Kramer vs. Kramer
that's kind of a short list.

Well, that's mostly her modern stuff... you should go back in time to the 80's and get into that stuff (especially Sophie's Choice, of course). But also see Prime, her latest. It was critically dismissed, but she was still great in it.
I finally saw Sophie's Choice a couple of weeks ago, and while Streep is great in it, it's really a terrible movie.
Well she is certainly better than the movie, but I wouldn't call it bad. Maybe the film as a whole just didn't live up to the hype for you? It's generally considered to be a good film.
Meryl rules!
