I am a currently an MFA student in University of Miami's film school, recently graduated from Brown. I'm an aspiring singer, actor, writer, and/or filmmaker... basically, I'll take what I can get. My first true love is performing, but the film critic in me just won't shut up, and I love writing and directing things, too. I think I wear too many hats (literally and figuratively). This blog is an outlet for my many wild passions, and a way to kill all my spare time. Also, I like to keep my sidebar REALLY full, so if you wanna see archives, just keep on scrolling down ; )
OK, is it just me, or does it look like The Departed could sweep all four major guilds (PGA, DGA, WGA, SAG)? I think it could totally happen. Which would make it the definite frontrunner for the oscar. I really think The Departed will take it when all is said and done. It's not exactly my favorite film ever, but they could make far worse choices this year...

Well, here's hoping!
I think Little Miss Sunshine will take Ensemble. Just like Sideways did a couple of years ago.
But Sideways won like a million critics awards, and just had more momentum in general. It had much more goodwill, I think.
Plus The Departed has major stars, and they actually act ensemble-style. Though I think Little Miss Sunshine deserves it.
