OK, Once songs are up for real now.
I was experiencing some technical difficulties.
But now my 6 favorite Once songs are there on my Box, ready for all to hear. Listen if you dare... and comment if you listen... or you can comment even if you don't.
Who else has seen this film, anyway?

I actually went to see Once with my MOM, who LOVED it. I also liked it a lot more than I was expecting, having only seen the trailer before Waitress and knowing nothing else about it before going in. I've seen it billed as a "musical for people who hate musicals" and I'm sure the ending has a lot to do with that...I don't know that I have much else to say about it, really. It was quite sweet, but didn't leave a huge impression on me. Except a grossed-out impression (that is, factual, Entertainment-Weekly-supplied knowledge) that Hansard (37) and Irglova (19) are now dating. And have known each other since she was 13. Awesome.
Hey Liz! I love the tagline on your blog.
I knew even less about Once going into it. I hadn't seen the trailer, and only knew it was "critically acclaimed" and starred people whose names sounded foreign. So it was a very pleasant surprise for me.
I'd heard Hansard and Irglova started dating after the shoot, but I had NO idea she was 19 (!). I remember thinking "why didn't they get together before the film if they'd already recorded together?" But of course, it's cause she was UNDERAGE.
She totally looks like she could be in her late twenties, and he looks like he could be a little younger than he is (cause you know, men's faces are allowed to age more quickly). So I didn't give it a second thought. Wow.
I loved it a little less the second time I saw it, but I still love it. I do dig the musicals.
